River Of Flowers

I got the idea after seeing some lovely footage of colored lanterns being sent down a river and as this Carlot figure likes swimming, I tried my best to combine them. Another thing that made me decide on this was the fact that he apparently likes freedom, and when you think about it water allows for a freedom of movement you don’t find on land, but at the same time it also has its own restrictions, with constant resistance and it’s limitations.

Doing nothing all day, save for a few meal breaks, but work on one single image makes one feel jolly glad to see the back of it at the end, even if I am fairly pleased with the result. This is the first of the last two contest entries I’m planning to do for a while. The deadline runs me ragged and when I don’t get a placing I always feel like such a right twit for having spent so much time on something

Not very sporting I know, but I've never liked sport and I only like playing games when I know I have a fair chance of winning, so I can't help but feel a bit down when i don't.

I’m being absolutely awful about replying to notes and comments in a timely manner lately, but I’m just in one of those slumps where I just can’t get round to it. Something or other gets in the way or I manage to get in my own way, which is very annoying not to mention embarrassing, but if this drags on much longer I’d just like to say that I do read every word and appreciate the time someone spends on saying it, especially CC
