" Feathered Things" for Study at :iconda-speedpaint:

Reference
:bulletblue: Herbert James Draper (1863-1920) - Lament for Icarus -[link]

I think I will have to advise you to look at the original for this one, link listed under reference, because this study does not do it justice :dohtwo: I did my best on restricted time but one lady got cut due to laziness and desperation, and the other, the one holding Icarus, has a face that makes me think of female east block sledge throwers...Probably by the name of Olga. And her hair became a helmet :ohnoes:

It's also rougher than I would have liked. I thought resizing it down would fix some of that but it did not. There were simply so many things that needed extra attention due to awkward poses or awkward faces, and obstinate eyebrows, that the totality suffered from lack of care. But at least the colours are truer to their reference, and they are the reason I did a study of this piece

Awesome!
